‘Where in the World’ Launches New Line of Personalized Children’s Books

April XX, 2009 SAN DIEGO, California - ‘Where in the World Books’, a San Diego-based publishing company that produces personalized products, has announced the launch of a unique new set of personalized children’s books. The new line of ‘Where in the World Books’ allows the purchaser to create a one-of-a-kind story about their child. Two newer books allow for personalization with a child and their best friend, their dog or cat. ‘Where in the World Books’ are currently available for purchase online at www.whereintheworldbooks.com.

‘Where in the World Books’ give customers the opportunity to create a personalized story about the child for whom they are purchasing the book. Customers input child’s first and last name and choose the illustrations appropriate to that specific child. The child’s chosen illustrations and name are incorporated into the storyline, and through state of the art print technology, their names are incorporated into the photography and illustrations. The collection of personalized books currently includes seven stories – ‘That’s My Dog,(dog’s name)’ ‘That’s My Cat,(cat’s name)’ ‘You Name It,’ ‘(Child’s name) is Pink and White and Cute All Over’ ‘An Amazing Day at the Zoo with (child’s name)’ ‘An Amazing Day at the Beach with (child’s name)’ and ‘I Want to Read My Name in Lights.’ In April 2009, ‘Where in the World Books’ announced that 100% of the proceeds from the sales of ‘That’s My Dog’ and ‘That’s My Cat’ will go to animal shelters in need. The goal of the ‘Where in the World Books’ is to motivate children to read, improve children’s literacy, and give back.

“Research shows that when a story is personalized a child’s curiosity is enhanced and they better identify with the story line and with the characters,” said Jan Krystkowiak, founder of ‘Where in the World Books. “When a story reflects things that are familiar in a child's personal life, it is more meaningful. Stories that are meaningful will enhance a child's motivation to read, help children stay focus and improve retention of what they have read.”

Jan Krystkowiak has been writing children’s books and creating unique products since 2003. Two of the other children’s books that she has written, ‘The Tale of Fatty Catty’ and ‘I Don’t Want to Move’ are available for purchase on Amazon.com. Krystkowiak is a mother of five children, a competitive athlete and is married to former Milwaukee Bucks Head Coach Larry Krystkowiak. In addition to writing children’s books she is also the owner of a marketing and advertising firm.
